Dead Simple

First of all, I was amazed when i got to know that he is a British author. Anything English is a turn on for me. Which made me even more interested in this book. When i read the cover "Four bodies, one suspect, no trace", i knew this was the book i was looking for. The perfect mystery book. And to think that the main character who everyone thinks is dead comes out alive in the end, wonderful theme.

Dead simple is the first in its series. Peter James introduced the character Detective Superintendent Roy Grace. The story began with a stag night, continued with a horrifying prank, an accident, a search and eventually the book got so interesting that i didn't even want to pee, even though i had to! One by one, James brought out suspects, clues, incidents and suspense. I think the best part about this book is the suspense. James maintains the suspense through majority of the story. And when the truth comes out, its quite shocking. Who'd have thought his f
iancee Ashlee Harper plotted again Michael just to make easy money and run away with her boyfriend Vic!? The story gives "burried alive" a whole new level of fear.

Strong characters, strong theme, and suspense that kills. One hell of a book. A must read!!
